Philadelphia Flyersin suomalaislupaus ei jatka NHL-leirillä – pelipaikka vielä mysteeri

Philadelphia Flyers on karsinut leiriryhmänsä kokoa yhdeksällä pelaajalla.

Kyseiseen joukkoon kuuluu odotetusti myös suomalaishyökkääjä Samu Tuomaala, 18, josta tuli Flyersin sopimuspelaaja kesällä.

18-vuotias Tuomaala aloittaa kautensa todennäköisesti Lehigh Valley Phantomsissa, mutta on myös mahdollista, että hyökkääjä tullaan lähettämään vielä OHL-seura Sudbury Wolvesin riveihin.

Flyers trim their training camp roster, sending 8 players to AHL Lehigh Valley:
G Samuel Ersson; D Logan Day; RW Samu Tuomaala; D Mason Millman; LW Maksim Sushko; D Wyatte Wylie; C Max Willman; LW Matthew Strome

Also LW Elliot Desnoyers has been sent to Halifax of the QMJHL

As for Tuomaala: My understanding is that even though he's been assigned to the AHL, it doesn't mean he's a lock to stay. Could still end up in the OHL (or elsewhere). But he impressed enough at main camp to get a long look at LHV camp, & he'll have a shot to prove he's ready.
