Dallas Stars antoi yllätyspotkut Jim Montgomerylle – TSN- toimittaja paljastaa: ”Ei ollut muita vaihtoehtoja”

Dallas Stars tiputti tiistaina julkisuuteen valtavan uutisen, kun päävalmentaja Jim Montgomery sai potkut (lue lisää).

Yllättävää irtisanomista perusteltiin vähäsanaisesti tiedottamalla, että päätös johtuu epäammattimaisesta käytöksestä, jota Dallas Stars ja NHL eivät hyväksy.

– Toinen tilanteeseen tutustunut lähde kertoo, ettei Dallas Starsilla ollut muita vaihtoehtoja. Hän sanoo myös, että potkut eivät liity väärinkäytöksiin, TSN-toimittaja Darren Dreger kertoo Twitterissä.

Dregerin kollegan Pierre LeBrunin mukaan päätös irtisanomisesta tuli Starsin sisältä.

Another source familiar with the situation says the Dallas Stars really had no choice and also says this is non abuse related.

I’m told the NHL was aware of the situation with Jim Montgomery even before Gary Bettman met the media here last night to announce the league’s 4-point plan, but that Montgomery’s dismissal does not fall under the auspices of that plan. Not related to it apparently.
