The Fourth Period -sivuston päätoimittaja David Pagnottan tietojen mukaan Carolina Hurricanes on ostamassa maalivahti Scott Darlingin sopimuksen ulos.

Darlingin 4,15 miljoonan dollarin palkan takaavaa sopimusta on vielä kaksi vuotta jäljellä, joten jenkkitorjuja tienaa sopimuksen ulosostosta jopa 8,30 miljoonaa dollaria.

Darlingia on vaivannut kauden aikana mentaalipuolen ongelmat, eikä hän ole tämän takia pystynyt pelaamaan normaalisti.

Yhdysvaltalainen pelasi NHL:ssä vain kahdeksan ottelua torjuntaprosentilla 88,4. AHL:ssä hänelle kertyi 14 ottelua, joissa hänen torjuntaprosenttinsa oli 88,2.

It’s my understanding the Carolina Hurricanes plan on buying out the contract of G Scott Darling when the buyout period opens and that the netminder is aware of their decision.
