Bob McKenzie: Vegas Golden Knights vahvistuu kokeneella puolustajalla – ollut pitkään siirtohuhuissa

Pitkään siirtohuhuissa pyörinyt Los Angeles Kings -puolustaja Alec Martinez on vaihtamassa pian joukkuetta.

TSN:n Bob McKenzie paljastaa Twitterissä, että 32-vuotias yhdysvaltalainen on siirtymässä seuraavaksi Vegas Golden Knightsin riveihin. Toiseen suuntaan on matkaamassa toisen kierroksen varausvuoro.

Martinez on pelannut koko tähänastisen NHL-uransa Kingsissä. Tällä kaudella yhdysvaltalainen on esiintynyt 41 ottelussa tehopistein 1+7=8.

If this deal gets done, I would expect the likely return to be two second-round picks. Martinez, BTW, has one year left on his contract beyond this season.

Adding new information: Martinez will not be playing for LA vs. WPG tonight, but I do not expect any official trade tonight. Best sense is that the two teams have likely agreed to terms but no deal will be done until LA is back home tomorrow.
